WHO WE TREAT - INFANTS
PEDIATRIC OSTEOPATHY LODZ, INFANT OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathic therapy is painless and non-invasive and is therefore an excellent form of treatment for babies. In the case of the youngest, it is primarily associated with the reduction of tension resulting from the birth process and the consequences that arise from the positioning of the baby during pregnancy.
The position in the mother's womb such as the breech position, the low position in the uterus and the transverse position (which can be prevented osteopathically during pregnancy) can cause tension in the baby's head and body. The morphology of the uterus itself, the size of the baby and multiple pregnancies can also contribute to morbidity, which affect the formation of the spine, the correct muscle tone, and the future health of the baby.
Childbirth itself is a demanding process. The baby changes its environment. As it passes through the birth canal, it is under a great deal of stress within the head and body. The tremendous compressive force can cause disturbances in the movement of the cranial bones and intracranial membranes. The precise and gentle work of the osteopath helps to relieve the tensions created during childbirth and balance the adaptation process in the external environment.
Osteopathic therapy can also help with feeding problems, which are very important for the baby. It depends on the sucking reflex and the correct balance of the tongue. The treatment concerns relieving the tension in the muscles of the tongue and the nervous system controlling the sucking reflex.
Some indications for infant osteopathic therapy:
- perinatal injuries such as prolonged labour, difficult positioning of the baby, umbilical cord wrapping, vacuum, head injuries, caesarean section
- twin pregnancies
- increased tension
- cerebral palsy
- brain injuries
- Inconsistent development of coordination and psychomotor skills
- hip dysplasia
- torticollis, head asymmetry
- infections, inflammations
- problems with eating and sucking
- colic, constipation and reflux
PREGNANT WOMEN
OSTEOPATHY FOR PREGNANT WOMEN LODZ
Osteopathic therapy is an effective way of helping a young mother.
The body of the pregnant woman changes along with the changes in the baby's body. The successive stages of the baby's structure give impetus to changes in the arrangement of the future mother's internal organs. Complications occur in the endocrine gland system, the function of the nervous system and the immune system. These changes can sometimes cause pain, nausea, or fluctuating moods. Gentle techniques applied during pregnancy can help alleviate these symptoms.
Osteopathic Therapy performed regularly during pregnancy capitally facilitates the process of natural childbirth and helps to eliminate discomfort after delivery by caesarean section. The treatment can influence favourable pelvic alignment (removal of pain during childbirth), shortening, can eliminate back pain and headaches, as well as mood swings and breast tenderness. It improves breathing and sleep.

ADULTS
ADULT OSTEOPATHY LODZ
When treating an adult patient, the physiotherapist carefully analyses the cause-and-effect relationships from birth to the present day. Injuries, scars, accidents, or diseases present or past left without osteopathic treatment are often the cause of further overloads, diseases. In these cases, treatment is based on the release and reversal of pathological compensations.
